Degree Options

Associate of Arts & Science

At UW-Waukesha, you can start or continue your degree by taking freshman/sophomore general education courses and complete your University of Wisconsin System Associate of Arts and Science Degree. This degree encompasses the liberal arts foundation required for over 200 University of Wisconsin majors and for acquiring your bachelor's degree.

The value of a liberal arts education is multi-faceted. It signals to employers that, as a degree holder, you have advanced skills in communication, critical thinking, and group dynamics, and an awareness and appreciation of other cultures, which all are vital to success in today's workplace. You will learn how to think, collaborate, create, problem solve, communicate and lead. You will become more marketable. You will be more adaptable.

  • Emphases offered for the AAS Degree: 23 different emphases are offered on our campus to tailor your AAS degree to fit your needs and begin focusing your degree in a specific area of study.

  • Transfer Plans: This link will provide you with over 50 different plans to help your earn your AAS while completing all the required coursework for various majors/transfer institutions. Please use the Transfer Information System to access even more transfer guides and agreements.

Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences

Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS):
The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences degree completion program is a bachelor’s degree that can be earned right here at UW-Waukesha in collaboration with UW-Parkside. The degree is conferred by UW Colleges. Classes are taught by faculty from both UW-Waukesha and UW-Parkside.

Certificates

Certificates available at UW-Waukesha: UW Waukesha offers several credit certificate programs that are available whether or not you are pursuing an Associate of Arts and Science degree.
