How Do I ... ?

How do I check out books?

You can check out books with your student I.D. or with a valid WI drivers license.

How long can I check stuff out?

Books = 28 days
CDs = 14 days
DVDs and Videos = 3 days
Current magazines = 3 days; older magazines = 7 days
Reference Books = typically 2 days
Reserve materials = 2 hrs, 3 hrs., 1 day, 3 days, or 7 days

When is the library open?

Our hours during the semester are…

Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 8 pm
Friday: 7:30 am - 5 pm
Saturday: 1 - 5 pm
Sunday: 3 - 9 pm

During break and in the summers, our hours may change.  You can check this online.

 How do I print something?  Or where do I pay for printing?

Each semester, $10 is put into a printing account attached to your ID.  When you print, money is automatically deducted from this $10.  Printing is .05 a page for black and white copies and .15 a page for color copies.

Can I access the library’s resources online?

You can access the library home page from anywhere, as long as you have Internet access.  You will be able to check our catalog for books, videos, cds, etc. by clicking on “library catalog” from the home page.  You can also use the databases by clicking on “articles” and entering your username and password when prompted.
