Two-Year College Offers Best Deal

WAUKESHA – Now recognized by one of the savvy e-newsletters, Clark Said, the two-year college campuses such as the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha offer the best value in beginning a college education. Not only do the credits transfer to larger, four-year institutions that may not be so conveniently located, but there’s a huge tuition differential – about $14,000 on average, according to the November 3 issue of Clark Said. That savings can make a graduate degree an affordable reality. At UW-Waukesha, full-time tuition and segregated fees for a Wisconsin resident comes to $1,203.55 per semester. And many students receive financial aid.Citing statistics, Clark Said notes that the most important factor that affects how much someone will earn in his or her lifetime is not wealthy parents nor hard work but one’s level of education. “A college grad will earn twice as much over a working lifetime than a high school grad. A graduate degree could realize wages three times greater over a lifetime career than that of a high school grad, and graduate students can expect to earn 60% more throughout a career than an undergraduate student.”Amortized over lifetime, a college degree remains one of the great bargains of our time. It is even more so if you start college at UW-Waukesha.
