WAUKESHA – Jeff Smerz from the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha theater department will hold auditions for a summer production of Steel Magnolias that he will direct. Auditions are set for Thursday and Friday, May 9 and 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, located in the Fine Arts Center on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha.
He will be casting six females for roles in the performances Friday and Saturday evenings, July 19, 20, 26, and 27. He would prefer auditioners to have a prepared comic and dramatic monologue, but it is not required.
