WAUKESHA University of Wisconsin-Waukesha theater manager and summertime director, Jeff Smerz, once again has turned to Neil Simon for some comedic entertainment. A cast of four will present performances of Last of the Red Hot Lovers on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, August 7, 8, and 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre on campus at 1500 N. University Dr., Waukesha.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $6 for students and senior citizens. All seats are general admission. The ticket office opens an hour before each performance.
At age 47 and married for 23 years, Barry Cashman wants a first-hand view of the sexual revolution. Inexperienced with such things, he nevertheless tries seducing first a woman who loves cigarettes, whiskey, and other-womens husbands, then a batty actress, and finally his wifes moralistic friend. None of his choices brings success, although they provide a witty repartee along with a large dollop of wisdom on human nature.
Appearing in the play are UW-Waukesha students Adam Gaulke and Kate Peterson, both of Pewaukee, and community members Cassandra Randrup, from Germantown, and Lisa Anderson, Waukesha.
