WAUKESHA – Students at the
University of Wisconsin-Waukesha held elections May 5-7, voting to
fill officer and senator openings on the Student Government
Association (SGA).
SGA deliberates on campus
student government issues and agitates for larger student concerns,
and members sit on campus committees. A second roster of senators
will be elected in fall, allowing in-coming students the opportunity
to serve in student government as well.
The new officers are:
President:
Dan Posca, Waukesha
Vice President:
Shannon Melcher, Waukesha
Treasurer/Exec. Dir.: Jon
Hausen, Waukesha
New senators
are:
Lucas Anderson, Oak Creek
Jake Bowen, West Allis
Melyssa Gonzalez, Waukesha
Students also voted to remain
affiliated with the politically active United Council of University
of Wisconsin students.
