WAUKESHA – The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha
Foundation will hold its seventh annual golf outing on Wednesday,
June 24, to raise funds to benefit the campus, including
supporting scholarships.
Entry of $125 per golfer includes 18-hole
greens fee at Western Lakes Golf Club, Pewaukee, cart, lunch,
driving range use, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner, and there are
additional sponsorship opportunities as well. Dinner will be catered
by Saz’s. For $35, guests may join golfers for hors d’oeuvres,
dinner and auction.
Russ Launder, Oconomowoc, who serves on the
Foundation board, says that not only is it important to raise funds
to assist deserving students in getting the education that will lead
to good-paying jobs, which can help bring the community, state, and
country out of recession, but also the event promises to be a lot of
fun. “This year a dinner is included, without increasing the entry
fee.” He touts the substantial amenities that Western Lakes Golf
Club offers as well.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. with lunch at
10:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. There will be
prizes, “fun” holes, mulligans for sale, and an auction as well.
