College Bound Program

SUMMER 2008

A PROGRAM FOR 9TH THROUGH 12TH GRADE STUDENTS BOUND FOR COLLEGE

OUR MISSION

The mission of the College Bound program is to increase participation of students in higher education. To achieve this goal, the College Bound program offers:

  • College exploration through college visits and tours.
  • “Dormitory” experience staying overnight at Wisconsin colleges for two nights during the program.
  • Education about financial resources available for college costs.
  • Career exploration activities.
  • Cultural and social activities.

DATES, TIMES, ELIGIBILITY, and FEES

Dates

July 14th-July 25th, 2008 (Monday thru Friday)
(lunch is provided)

Times

9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Location

Most activities will take place at UW-Waukesha. However, overnight trips to various college campuses in Wisconsin are part of the program.

Limited Transportation

Transportation services are available. Please contact James Boling to inquire.

Eligibility

Students entering 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades are eligible to participate in College Bound. All students must be highly motivated and interested in attending college.

Fees

DPI scholarships for this program are available for eligible students. To find out if a student is eligible please contact: James Boling. There is limited space in the College Bound program so please sign up early.
