Academic Advising and Registration assistance
Each semester TRIO students will receive the assistance of an advisor in
selecting courses and in meeting degree requirements. Actual registration is the
responsibility of the student.
TRIO advisors help
students select courses that will both meet degree requirements and prepare the
student to transfer to a bachelor's degree granting institution. TRIO
students will meet with their academic advisor and first discuss and then select
courses that are consistent with degree requirements and are needed
to prepare for transfer. Students are expected to be actively engaged in
the planning and selection process, rather than being a passive observer.
